    Concrete Contractor in New Jersey

Concrete is the material that holds everything else up. Get the sub-base, mix, reinforcement, and finish right and it lasts 40+ years. Get any one of them wrong and you're looking at cracks, heaving, and replacement in a decade. J.A. Cuzzupe Inc. has been pouring concrete across South Jersey for 45+ years — foundations, flatwork, structural piers, and everything in between.

    Footings & Foundations

Every building stands or falls on its footings. We excavate to the correct depth for your soil and frost line, form and pour footings sized to the engineer's spec, and install rebar, keyways, and anchor bolts per plan. Foundation walls, thickened-edge slabs, monolithic pours — whatever the design calls for, we build it square, level, and to code. We coordinate directly with township inspectors so your framing crew isn't sitting idle waiting on a footing inspection.

    Sidewalks, Walkways & ADA Work

Township-spec sidewalks, curb ramps, and ADA-compliant walkways are their own specialty — the width, thickness, cross-slope, joint spacing, and detectable warning surfaces all have to be right or the job fails inspection. We pour public and private sidewalks that pass on the first inspection, with clean tooled joints and a broom finish that gives you traction without looking rough.

    Flatwork: Driveways, Patios & Slabs

Flatwork is what most people picture when they think 'concrete work,' and it's where cheap contractors cut the most corners. We prep a proper compacted stone sub-base, install wire mesh or fiber reinforcement based on the application, use the right PSI mix for your climate, and place control joints where they belong so cracks happen where you can't see them. Driveways, garage slabs, patios, pool decks, shed pads, generator pads — all built to last, all finished the way you want (broom, trowel, exposed aggregate, or stamped).

    Structural Piers

Deck footings, porch piers, carport supports, and helical or poured piers for additions and heavy loads. We dig to below frost line, form to spec, and pour piers that carry the load without settling. When the design calls for engineered piers with rebar cages or bearing plates, we install per the drawings and coordinate inspection.

    Concrete Demolition & Removal

Cracked driveway, sunken sidewalk, obsolete slab, or a patio that heaved a decade ago? We break it out, load it out, and haul it to approved recycling facilities. Careful demo around adjacent concrete, landscaping, and structures — no chipped garage aprons, no torn-up lawns, no cracked foundation walls from bad hammer work.

    Saw Cutting

Precise saw cutting for control joints, expansion joints, section replacement, trench openings for plumbing or utility work, and clean tie-ins between old and new pours. Walk-behind and hand saws, wet or dry cutting depending on the application, and clean straight lines that keep the finished job looking professional.

    Why It Matters

The difference between concrete that lasts 40 years and concrete that fails in 8 is almost never the concrete itself — it's the prep, the reinforcement, the joint placement, and the finish. Hiring a contractor with 45+ years of pours behind them means you're paying for the details that don't show up until year 15, when your driveway still looks like the day it was poured.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long before I can drive on new concrete?

Foot traffic after 24–48 hours, vehicle traffic after 7 days, full cure strength at 28 days. We'll walk you through cure care before we leave the site.

Do you offer decorative or stamped concrete?

Yes — stamped patterns, integral color, exposed aggregate, and broom finishes. We'll show samples so you know exactly what you're getting.

Can you replace just part of a driveway or sidewalk?

Yes. We saw-cut clean straight joints so the new pour ties in tightly to the existing concrete, both visually and structurally.
